In excess of 70 people converged on Ararat Town Hall on Monday, 4 September 2023, for an Ararat Bioenergy project showcase and supplier forum.
Following an opening address from Jo Armstrong, Mayor, Ararat Rural City Council, the forum heard from a number of presenters covering a range of engaging topics, including:
- Dr Tim Harrison, CEO, Ararat Rural City Council, with an overview on the project’s regional economic development opportunities
- Niklas Ahlefeldt-Laurvig, CEO, Green2X, presenting on a case study biomethane project in Denmark
- Craig Morgan, Director, Northmore Gordon, on the case for RNG and carbon abatement certificates in Australia
- Nick Peterson from MP Capital giving an investor’s perspective
- Scott Grierson, CEO, Valorify, with a walk through of the latest version of the feedstock contract
- a panel discussion featuring bailing and transport contractors on opportunities for feedstock aggregation.
The forum concluded with a lively Q&A session and networking drinks.
